THE THIRD SCHOOL IN GAMBIA

Our third school, the First Steps Nursery School, is also locatet in Brufut, Gambia like our two other schools. The founder of the school died and the teachers didn’t get any salary, so there was no motivation to come to school. Now everything is well going again.  Since September 2018 we could start with 155 students and the number is still rising. All in all we now have 600 students that visit our 3 schools and 30 employees, that get fully paid from us.

THE FIRST SCHOOL IN GAMBIA

The AVI Nursery School in Brufut, Gambia is the first school we conduct since 2014. The founder of the school is Antonius van Iperen, our partner from Holland. We named the school after him.  Per schoolyear we have 185 to 205 students, one nurse and one soccer coach. Our first school moved 2019 to a different property. We have signed a rental contract for 20 years. Renting is much more cheaper than buying. It is possible to rent a building and land for under € 1.000 per year.
